Who we are

callura is operated by MICALLA callura inc., located in Quebec, Canada.

This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit our online store, purchase from us or contact us.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we collect:

  • Your name, billing and shipping addresses, email address and telephone number.

  • Order details, payment status and transaction references needed to process purchases, returns and refunds.

  • Information you provide in customer service messages or return requests, including photographs.

  • Marketing subscription preferences and consent records.

  • Technical and browsing information, such as your IP address, browser, device information, pages visited and interactions with our store, subject to applicable consent requirements.

Payment details are processed by our payment providers. Please do not send full payment-card details by email.

If you provide another person’s information for a gift delivery, please ensure you are authorized to do so. We use that information to fulfill the delivery, not to automatically subscribe the recipient to marketing.

How we use information

We use personal information as necessary to:

  • Process payments, fulfill orders and arrange delivery.

  • Communicate about purchases, returns, refunds and customer service requests.

  • Maintain business and transaction records.

  • Operate and secure our website.

  • Investigate fraud and unauthorized activity.

  • Support analytics, personalization and advertising, subject to applicable consent requirements and privacy choices.

  • Send promotional communications where we have a valid consent basis.

  • Meet legal obligations and handle disputes.

We limit collection and use to information reasonably necessary for the stated purposes.

Consent and your choices

We obtain consent where required by applicable law and explain the purposes for which information is collected.

Information necessary to process an order is separate from optional marketing consent. You can purchase from us without subscribing to promotional emails.

You may withdraw consent to optional uses by contacting us or using the applicable privacy controls. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing that occurred previously.

Some information may still need to be retained or used to complete transactions, meet legal obligations or handle disputes.

If you do not provide information necessary for an order or service, we may be unable to provide that order or service.

Email marketing

We send promotional emails only where permitted by applicable anti-spam laws.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a promotional email or by contacting studio@callura.com. We will action unsubscribe requests within the applicable legal timeframe.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary communications about your orders, requested services or account security.

Shopify, payment processing and Network Intelligence

Our store is hosted on Shopify. We share information with Shopify and payment providers to operate our store, process payments and fulfill purchases.

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled. Shopify processes information about your visits and purchases together with information from your interactions with other merchants and Shopify. This supports enhanced services, including personalization, advertising, fraud prevention and improvements to Shopify services.

Relevant information may be shared with Shopify and other providers located outside Quebec or Canada.

Shopify also processes certain information under its own privacy policies. Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.

Payment and transaction information is not necessarily deleted immediately after purchase. Retention depends on processing purposes, provider practices and legal requirements.

Cookies, tracking and privacy choices

Our store uses essential cookies and similar technologies for functions such as shopping carts, checkout and security.

Optional technologies support personalization, analytics and advertising. Where consent is required, you can accept or decline these uses, or select individual categories through our cookie banner.

Declining optional cookies does not subscribe or unsubscribe you from marketing emails. Email subscription choices are managed separately.

For visitors in supported regions, our data-sharing opt-out page provides a way to opt out of applicable data sharing and targeted advertising.

You can also visit Shopify’s privacy portal to exercise applicable rights concerning Shopify’s processing.

Browser cookie settings offer additional controls, although blocking essential cookies may affect store functionality.

For help changing your choices or making a privacy request, contact studio@callura.com.

Sharing information

We share relevant information with service providers as necessary to operate our business, including:

  • Shopify and payment processors.

  • Shipping carriers and fulfillment providers.

  • Providers supporting customer communications, website operations and business recordkeeping.

  • Providers supporting the analytics, personalization and advertising purposes described above, subject to applicable consent requirements and privacy choices.

Providers may process information on our behalf or, depending on the service, under their own privacy policies and legal responsibilities.

We may disclose information where authorized or required by law, or where reasonably necessary and legally permitted to investigate fraud, address security issues or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

If our business undergoes a sale, merger or restructuring, information may be disclosed or transferred subject to applicable legal requirements and safeguards.

Processing outside Quebec

Shopify and other service providers may process or store personal information outside Quebec, including elsewhere in Canada or in other countries.

Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to its laws and lawful access by its authorities.

Using an external provider does not remove our responsibilities for personal information under our control. You may contact our Privacy Officer with questions about service providers or processing locations.

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for its stated purposes, including applicable accounting, tax, legal, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements.

Retention periods vary according to the information and its purpose. When information is no longer required, it must be securely destroyed or anonymized in accordance with applicable law.

We may retain limited information needed to record and respect an unsubscribe request.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle.

No website, transmission method or storage system can guarantee complete security.

If a confidentiality incident occurs, we will assess it and take the steps required by applicable law, including notification where required.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, information about its use or disclosure, or withdrawal of consent.

You may also request deletion of information we no longer have a lawful reason to retain. Deletion requests are subject to applicable retention obligations and other legal limits.

Where applicable, you may request a copy of computerized personal information you provided in a structured, commonly used technological format.

We may request reasonable information to verify your identity. We will explain applicable limitations and respond within the required legal timeframe.

For information controlled independently by a service provider, we may direct you to that provider’s privacy process.

Children’s information

Our store is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 14.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 without the consent or other authorization required by applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided information without the required authorization, contact us so we can investigate.

Third-party websites

Our website may contain links to other websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Following an external link does not remove our responsibilities for information already under our control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The date above identifies the latest update.

For material changes, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain additional consent where required. Posting a revised policy does not, by itself, authorize new uses that require consent.
